Squid Game: Season 1, Episode 4

Squid Game* Episode 4, titled **“Stick to the Team,”** takes the drama and tension to a whole new level. This episode is all about teamwork, trust, and survival—but in the Squid Game world, even your team can become your enemy.

After surviving the horrifying “Honeycomb” game in Episode 3, the remaining players are starting to understand just how brutal this competition really is. Now that the number of players is shrinking, fear and suspicion are growing. The organizers don’t make it easier—there are fewer rules at night, and that leads to chaos.

Back in the dormitory, players realize they are not safe even when the games aren't happening. Fights start breaking out, and when the lights go out, it turns into a terrifying free-for-all. Alliances begin to form as everyone looks for protection. **Seong Gi-hun** (played by Lee Jung-jae) teams up with **Cho Sang-woo** (Park Hae-soo), **Kang Sae-byeok** (Jung Ho-yeon), **Abdul Ali** (Anupam Tripathi), and **Oh Il-nam** (Oh Yeong-su), the elderly Player 001. Together, they try to stay safe through the night by taking turns watching while the others sleep.

The next day, the third official game is revealed: **Tug of War**. This game is a classic, but here, losing means falling off a high platform to your death. Teams of ten are formed, and Gi-hun’s group is clearly at a disadvantage—an old man, a woman, and weaker members against stronger, more aggressive players. But this is where strategy comes into play.

Oh Il-nam surprises everyone with his knowledge of Tug of War, sharing tips on how to win with teamwork and smart positioning. With Sang-woo leading the team and everyone putting in all their effort, it becomes one of the most intense moments in the series.

This episode isn’t just action-packed—it shows the value of trust, intelligence, and unity in a cruel world where those traits are hard to come by. We also see how quickly people can turn on each other when survival is at stake.

“Stick to the Team” proves that in Squid Game, brains can sometimes beat brawn—and that sticking together might be the only way to survive.
